Helping the underprivileged is the responsibility of everyone in the community. Good corporate citizens can lend a helping hand to uplift the lives of the less fortunate through the CDC’s projects/programmes or through customised programmes.
The South West CDC’s Project GAPc (Giving Away Personal Computers) enabled 100 needy families to own their own refurbished computer. The project was supported by Lee Foundation, Shangri-la Hotel, NTUC Income, Funan IT Mall and ITE College West.
The South West CDC’s SAFE Home for Senior Citizens (SAFE)Programme brought together community partners ITE College West and PUB to improve on home safety for senior citizens. Bathroom grab bars, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits and other safety features were installed free of charge.
