Opening of South West District Arts Festival

The South West CDC kick-starts its month-long South West District Arts Festival in conjunction with the closing of the Singapore Arts Festival with a performance by German group antagon theatre AKTion. Time Out is a 70-minute action performance complete with pyrotechnics and fireworks display and more.

Lunchtime Concerts @ South West - happening during lunch hour on weekdays at selected shopping malls. The concerts provide a platform for young budding talents to showcase performing arts, and at the same time, act as a mid-day reprieve for working professionals in the South West District.

South West District Dance Challenge - A Dance Journey

A Dance Journey is a dance competition with a difference. Showcase your talents in your preferred dance era or type. Finalists will perform in their own chosen dance woven into a dance musical.
One of our judges is Mr Bill Calhoun, Director/Producer/Dance choreographer and the famous judge from Dance Floor Singapore which ended recently. Bill is the only American producer, director and choreographer working in Asian television.

Closing of the South West District Arts Festival

Closing celebration – Dance Jam @ @ South West
Catchthe finale of the South West District Arts Festival. The dance production, A Dance Journey, will be Singapore’s first specially choreographed dance production, which will include different types of movie-inspired dances all woven into one performance.
