A variety of art performances, workshops, bazaars and exhibitions awaits you at the South West District Arts Festival 2008. Themed ART-tastic @ South West, the Festival aims to bring arts, especially visual arts, closer to you. Seek out art performances happening at shopping malls near you. Join us for pottery, photography and art craft making workshops happening from 28 June to 26 July 2008 in your very own neighbourhood.

Saturday! @ Series
Support our local art talents and unleash your shopping bug all at the same time!
Mini surprises await you at the numerous art bazaars happening on weekends under our Saturday! @ Series. Unwind after an invigorating shopping experience by watching the myriad of arts performances happening just right beside the bazaars. If you are a hands-on person, join in our various arts workshops, where you can learn more about photography, pottery and arts craft making.
Saturday! @ Keat Hong: Miyuki Red White Anime Song Battle 2008

Synopsis: Animation Songs Singing Competition – Inspired by the Kouhaku Uta Gassen of NHK (Nippon Hoso Kyokai - Japan Broadcasting Corporation) during New Year every year, the animation club has come up with their own version of animation songs. Look forward to an evening full of songs and dances presented by a group of local anime fans!

Saturday! @ Chua Chu Kang: Cultural Integration Showcase 2008

Synopsis: A free cultural and art showcase which includes dances, traditional band, singing performances and cross cultural segments. Get your hands moving at the various workshops on handicraft, batik painting, visual arts, drawing art, pottery and fashion designer. Attractive door gifts and free drinks will be given whilst stocks last!
Arts At The Mall @ South West

Piala Adiratna 2008
Immerse yourself in the rich diversity of Malay dance culture through the first nation wide Inter-School Malay Traditional Dance Competition happening on Saturday, 12 July 2008!

Main celebrations of ART-tastic @ South West
Come join us at the Arts Carnival, where activities such as arts workshops, crowning, juggling, stilt walking, balloon sculpting are lined up for you.
There will be a freehand arts corner for you to create graffiti. Create a small face using clay and stick it onto the ‘Harmony Cube’ installation art and participate in the unveiling of the first-ever ‘Community Arts Pillar’!
End the day with a multi-genre concert that will mesmerise your senses!

ART-tastic @ South West Photography Competition
Create visual memories and capture images of friendships with your camera and stand to walk away with prizes worth more than $5,000 this July.

You can also view the winning pieces at our Photography Competition Exhibition at the main celebrations of ART-tastic @ South West on Saturday, 19 July 2008 at The Frontier Community Club.
