Upskill the Unskilled

A local scheme by the South West CDC to support national employment and training initiatives that encourage low wage low skilled worker or unemployed to undergo training to increase productivity so as to enhance employability through helping them with their needs such as transport costs to attend training (through transport grants) and household expenses during period of training (through food vouchers).

To be eligible, you need to meet the following requirements:

1. Employed / Unemployed Singapore Citizen
2. Residing in South West District
3. Earning Basic Monthly Wage of $2,500 & below
4. ‘O’ Level & Below**
5. Willingness to work with CDC’s career consultants to complete suitable training roadmap.

** For those who do not possess ‘O’ levels but have other qualifications equivalent or higher than ‘O’ levels e.g. NITEC, they will be asked to go through CAT test to screen their eligibility for scheme. They are required to score ‘5’ (which is equivalent to ‘O’ levels and below)

What Can I benefit from the Scheme?
1st Tranche (Completion of First Day of Generic Training)
$50 Transport Vouchers

2nd Tranche (Completion of Fifth Day of WSQ Training)
$50 Transport Vouchers and $100 Food Vouchers
